Welcome to Yamamori Izakaya
a type of Japanese bar in which a variety of small dishes and sushi are served to accompany the alcoholic
drinks ranging from Beer to Sake, both of which we source directly from Japan.
Originally this space was one of the famous Bewley’s Cafes established in 1840. The victorian interior and original fittings can still be seen throughout the ground floor with authentic Japanese artwork and sculptures on display, sourced by the restaurant’s owners in Japan.
The main dining area features a bespoke sushi stage, where our chefs prepare Sushi, precisely balancing texture, temperature, and flavour for all to see. Earning ourselves a dedicated following of both Japanese and Irish regulars daily.
The Izakaya Basement is a more intimate setting with its dedicated bar, low ceilings, japanese stencil art work and old movies projected as a backdrop behind our DJ booth. It provides a warm and intimate space for both large dining groups, or cosy couples who can still avail of the full menu, stay a little longer and experience the Izakaya after dark, 7 nights a week.
