The delight of Kish Fish

WHO ARE THEY?

Kish Fish is an O'Meara family-run seafood wholesale and retail business founded in 1966. They started by selling organic fresh whole fish in the Dublin fish market. Kish Fish and their team sell in two popular retail shops at Avoca in Dunboyne and Bow Street, Coolock. They also supply fresh seafood to leading hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and other foodservice outlets.

Since most supermarkets' seafood is mainly limited to salmon, cod, prawns and mussels, Kish Fish aims to supply the highest quality seafood at competitive prices, offering a variety of everything in the fish family. In addition, Kish Fish stocks enough fish to supply other supermarkets and most top restaurants all over Ireland and beyond.

The general public is not left out of what Kish Fish offers. Kish Fish's stock shop, which is open to the public, has a good blend of fish products that cater to all types of palates and pockets. The range goes from fresh produce straight from the fishing deck to frozen produce such as octopus, a bag of scallops, and so much more. You can also leave the shop ready to produce made up of a variety of their special sauce.

The staff of Kish Fish are very knowledgeable and always ready to help. They give advice about the products they sell and possible recipes and cooking ideas for your meal.

Kish Fish recently claimed the coveted BIM seafood specialist of the year award. Yamamori is proud to partner with Kish Fish to offer you the top quality in our fish.

WHY DO WE WORK WITH THEM?

At Yamamori, Quality is integral to the food we make for our customers. Kish Fish shares the same ideology, and they make sure quality is central in everything they do. The absolute commitment to premium quality makes for a good partnership. Yamamori ensures all due process is through the supply chain process from the moment a fish is caught to when the customer sees the fish in their dish.

Also, Kish Fish holds an ISO 9001:2008 accreditation and operates a safe food management system based on HACCP principles, which includes whole traceability from the net to the table; this highlights transparency in what they do from the labelling, batch number, the catchment is, pack date and best before to instill confidence and authenticity amongst their customers.

Lastly, Just like Yamamori, Kish fish cares about sustainability. Therefore, we both adhere to responsible catching and sourcing practices within the agreed international fishing quota and licensing authorities.
